My first time trying out pancakes by IHOP (International House of Pancakes) was a fun experience most especially because it was also my first time having to eat as many pancakes as I can. It was March 8, 2016 and they celebrated National Pancake Day and offered All-You-Can-Eat Buttermilk Pancakes for P250! 🙂
I’m honestly not a big fan of any buffet or eat-all-you can style of eating because I know it just won’t be worth it for me for I don’t actually have a voracious appetite. How ironic right, body fats? Hahaha! But that was before, now I’m still not a hundred percent fond of it but I’m willing to try and see how it would feel. 😀
I was really excited that day to spend my afternoon and savour pancakes. I have read some blog posts about the quality IHOP has and there were many positive comments so I prepared myself for it and did not have my breakfast and lunch just so I could eat more than two pancakes and be happily proud of myself that my P250 spent was worth it.
We also ordered Vanilla and Chocolate milkshakes (not included in that day’s promo). And we were really delighted! We liked the Chocolate-flavored more, but the Vanilla one is just so palatable too. Anyhow, we could never go wrong with these flavors. Perfect for our sweet tooth! We resisted the urge to drink these to avoid feeling full and could eat many pancakes but it was just so hard. 🙁
I also loved the ambiance and hospitality here. It’s relaxing and peaceful and just so comfy. And the people were friendly and welcoming. It was also not crowded that time which I find a bit shocking because I expected the opposite knowing that there’s a promo that day. This is their Alabang branch, by the way.
Well hello pancakes!
I also loved these different flavors of syrup we could choose from and enjoy. I had tried them all (except for the yellow one, Butter Pecan, which I have only noticed in the other table when we were already finished eating, ugh!) and my favorite is still the Old Fashioned. 🙂
I love how tasty and fluffy the pancakes were! The butter for two pancakes was not enough for me though. All in all, I think we have eaten six pancakes (weaklings, I know). And the last happy thing before we leave was when they gave me four pancakes for my takeout! Thanks IHOP! 🙂
