Almost three hours have already passed since the clock struck twelve and a brand new year had officially started. It was a bit rainy but nothing could stop every firework from every corner of the sky, popping gorgeously with its loud beauty giving me goosebumps and putting a smile on my face.
Wow, and just like that, it’s already the first day of 2017. Can’t help but look back to the highlights of my previous year 2016. Damn, that was indeed a rough year for me, but also a very amazing one! Full of many firsts for me, full of many new challenges too.
If there’s something I learnt last year, (although of course we all learn so many things in a span of 12 months) it would definitely be this: No matter how good you are to some people, you can’t really expect them to treat you the same exact way. Nevertheless, you should still be kind and humble to everyone, always.
I started my early 2016 with an unexpected travel to Boracay and end my year’s travel by going back again to Boracay. Guess I just would never get used to it! I also got the chance to visit Subic and watch a hot air balloon festival, enjoyed a road trip bound to Bicol, flew to Cebu to celebrate my 7th anniversary with my boyfriend, spent my 24th birthday in Puerto Princesa, and then flew to Boracay with some of my close friends. ’twas really fun! I appreciated travelling even more.
Also, sadly, I lost one of my dog buddies last year. I was so much in pain for having my dog, Diego, died so sudden and so soon. I can maybe share it with you here in my blog later on. But.. I don’t know if a miracle happened or what, but another new dog just randomly came to our house few months after, and he looks 90% like Diego! I named him Tisoy because he’s literally tisoy hehe! He’s with me right now sleeping on my lap. I’m so grateful I have him as one of my dog buddies, as well as Summer, Bacca, and Chuchu. I love them all so dearly.
I also lost some of my friends last year, but thankfully, regained the friendship! I can say my relationship to some of them is really much better than the previous years, so hooray! I also made new friends and made some of those casual ones into very close ones!
I also discovered some parts of myself, and realized new things about me. And also with my relationship with Jose. I can say we’re much better now too. It really amazes me how everything changes everyday. Oh, such as this new blog entry which I posted right on time. It got pretty messed up here in my blog, I know. Well, my battle against bad internet connection and a 7-year-old-going-to-die laptop has already ceased. I now have a better internet and a newly bought lappy atlast! 🙂 Thanks to God (and to my employer lol) for helping me earn enough money for that, as well as to my boyfriend Jose for being my support system and also for lending me some money to make this happen. Haha!
I pray for this year 2017 to be filled with positivity, genuine happiness, and success for everyone. I also wish for myself that I update my blog soon and post all my hundred backlogs as early as now that I can still remember details about each of them. Hahaha! Cheers! 🙂
